Winter Weather Threatens Refugees in the Middle East

Weeks ago, AHED prepared for the winter season in the Middle East. As we were wrapping up our aid distribution of desperately needed winter supplies like blankets, clothing, heaters, fuel, and food among the Syrian and Palestinian refugees in the Middle East, the media now reports that a blustery storm will be dropping torrential rain and snow on Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon this weekend through Wednesday.

We at AHED are very concerned for the well-being of these refugees. This storm will add another layer of misery on the already grim existence of many.

Our Response

AHED is intensifying its aid response to keep refugees warm through the cold weather. We have instructed our teams on the ground to address the most pressing needs of the refugees. More aid will be distributed among reached families to meet their basic needs for survival. Aid includes clothing, blankets, heaters, tarps, and hygiene items.
