Myanmar Crisis

Myanmar Crisis

Thousands of Rohingya flee violence in Myanmar. Whole villages were destroyed.  According to estimates by the UN, more than 170,000 Rohingya Muslims have been displaced.

It has been reported that more than 160000 people are facing food insecurity and are in dire need of immediate food assistance, medication, and shelter.

Baitulmaal, in collaboration with UN registered organizations operating in the region, has been providing humanitarian aid and food assistance to the displaced Rohingyas and refugees.

With the current escalated crisis, the number of displaced people and refugees have been increased, the situation requires that we expand our relief and assistance.

Baitulmaal is assessing the situation of the IDPs on the border with Bangladesh to provide immediate food and assistance.
The 1st report we received that the estimate of the most affected families are 12000 families around 48000 to 49000 persons who are in need for urgent help of food, tents, and hygiene kits.
