Jamshoro: Emergency Shelterand Food Relief after the flood. 1. Right after the flood, there were 1,200 families in the camp. Baitulmaal provided shelter and daily meals for months while waiting for the water to reside so families could return home. New clothes, Sweets and treats were also provided during Eid. 2. Still have 84 families who live in camp tents; they cannot return home because they lost every thing. Baitulmaal's staff and volunteers are taking care of these families by distributing monthly rations, and providing clean water and medical care. Monthly expenses to keep these families in good living conditions are $7500 – only about $100 a month to sponsor a family. 3. To sponsor a school. Food For the Future: Manzoorabad, Jamshoro, Abad Got, Ranta, Thatta: Farmers have requested crop seeds that were washed away in the flood. This will let them become more self-sufficient and provide for their own families. 1. $80.00 will purchase enough wheat seeds for one acre of land. 2. 5000 acres of land need to be planted with seeds. 3. Baitulmaal’s goal is to provide 1 acre of seeds for 250 families.
It has been the help and the support of Allah azawajal, then the Duaa and support of the generous donors that Baitulmaal was able and is able inshAllah to continue providing assistance to the flood victims.
