As you all know, the worst flood disaster ever in Pakistan has affected 20 millionpeople. More than 1600 have been killed, and more than 6 million children are in desperate need. Deadly water-borne diseases threaten child survival and the flood situation in Pakistan is signaling the worst is yet to come.
Baitulmaal, Inc. has responded to the calls to help and assist the victims of the flood with the following:

1. Sponsoring and adopting two camps in Sindh Province region where most of the residents are women and children. We are providing them with daily cooked meals, clean drinking water and health care. 2. Water Purification Systems have been installed to provide clean drinking water to more than 15,000 people. 3.Daily cooked meals have been provided to the people of the desolate villages and camps. 4. Assisting 30,000 others who came from other disaster areas. 5. On the Eid day, our team has distributed food to 35,000 people. 6. Zakatul Fitr (Fitra Fund) was utilized to feed 15,000 people at camps in Thatta. 7. 15,000 bags of candy were also distributed among the people, especialy the children on the Eid day 8. Baitulmaal is looking to build 500 homes for 500 families who completely lost their homes by the flood. Each home consists of 2 bedrooms and a kitchen, and each home may cost up to $2,000.00 to be completed. 9. Baitulmaal staff and volunteers are doing tremendous work by helping and assisting the victims of the flood, also providing health care with the assitance of our physition Dr. Iqbal Hussain who visited the disaster areas and seeking the assistance of other physisions to help the victims of the flood, especially the women and children. Locally, Baitulmaal has arranged to send 5 containers of humanitarian aid donated and collected by community members, friends and organizations of other faiths.
Baitulmaal is calling upon the generous donors to continue their support and donations as this disaster is signaling the worst to come and it will not be eased in the near future. We ask Allah azawajal to ease their hardship and remove this calamity
